THE STORY

When Stacey first came to JRAD SKIN, she felt confused and discouraged by the ongoing inflammation she had been experiencing. After coming off birth control, she began developing persistent, inflamed breakouts, pustules, redness, and sensitivity — particularly around the mouth, chin, cheeks, and forehead. 

Believing she was dealing exclusively with hormonal acne, Stacey spent years trying to “treat acne” through elimination diets, active products, prescription benzoyl peroxide, and hormone-focused support, yet her skin continued to become increasingly reactive and inflamed.

During our consultation process, we identified that the client was not only experiencing hormonal breakouts, but was also dealing with papulopustular rosacea — an inflammatory skin condition. We shifted away from aggressive correction and focused instead on calming inflammation, rebuilding barrier health, reducing sensitivity, and helping her better understand what her skin was communicating.

Her treatment plan included a series of 3 The Clear treatments and 1 targeted Light Therapy with our LED Reset to help calm redness, and gradually improve overall skin function without overstimulating the skin. 

At home, her routine was completely restructured using gentle, anti-inflammatory products better suited for rosacea-prone and sensitive skin.

Alongside her skin treatments, the client worked closely with her naturopath to explore deeper internal contributors to inflammation, including hormonal balance and gut health support. 

Through consistency and a slower, more supportive approach, the skin became noticeably calmer and more resilient.
