THE STORY

Shaelynn came to JRAD SKIN during early pregnancy feeling frustrated by sudden changes in her skin. After previously maintaining clear, balanced skin with the support of retinol and corrective treatments, pregnancy hormones — combined with the removal of active ingredients she could no longer safely use — led to significant congestion, inflamed hair follicles, texture, dehydration, and post-inflammatory pigmentation throughout the skin.

Shaelynn’s skin had become increasingly reactive and sensitive during pregnancy, leaving her unsure of how to safely manage the congestion and breakouts without compromising her barrier. Alongside hormonal changes, this client also struggled with skin picking, which contributed to pigmentation and uneven texture. 

During her consultation, we focused on simplifying her routine and supporting her skin safely through pregnancy. 

Over the course of five Clear Treatments, we worked to deeply cleanse congestion, soften buildup within the follicles, calm inflammation, and support hydration while helping reduce the appearance of texture and pigmentation over time. 

Alongside her treatments, we incorporated pregnancy-safe home care, including Phloretin CF and Retexturing Activator to gently support skin renewal, brightness, and overall skin balance.
